What are the fees for the Viber sender?
There is a minimum monthly commitment: €125.00 or €187.50 (according to the destination)
Viber’s minimum monthly commitment is the minimum consumption a company is required to pay per month for active sender ID, regardless of whether it sends a message through the sender or not. Because Viber charges only per message/session, it’s important that companies commit a minimum spend to continue with a Business account. This is required by Viber and has also the goal to avoid setting up many accounts that turn out to be inactive or with very low usage.
Example: If for the calendar month of September you send Viber messages to the Greece (according to the valid price list) with a total value of 150 credits, you will pay MMC for the Greece, i.e. 187.50 credits (your account will be debited with a surcharge of 27.5 credits, i.e. the difference of 187.5 credits – 150 credits ). If you send 200 credits worth of messages, you will pay 200 credits (no additional MMC is payable, because you have fulfilled the MMC condition by exceeding 187.5 credits for the Greece organically)
Please note this 187.5 credits is a minimum monthly commitment, not an additional fee. So if your monthly volume is above 187.5 credits you will pay only monthly consumption. If your volume is less than 187.5 credits then this sum will be charged.
Viber charges only READ and DELIVERED messages. Messages with other statuses expire and are refunded to your account.
How long it takes to register a new Viber sender?
Approval takes about 7 business days, in some countries the registration period can be shorter.
Notification
Each messaging service (promotional, transactional, session) is priced differently and prices may vary seasonally.
Viber requires a minimum monthly spend for each service (one-way, two-way, session) and for each country. This amount depends on the expansion of Viber in the territory.
The monthly minimum applies if the company is registered and has an active sender ID.
The minimum fee is calculated monthly and is not cumulative.
If your business has registered different services (one-way, two-way, session), the monthly minimum spend applies to each service (not your business or sender ID).
The Company Sender ID can be deactivated up to three times a year. If it is deactivated more than three times, you may be blacklisted by Viber and may not be able to reactivate your account.
If you plan to send transactional (informational or notification) messages to the countries listed below, i.e. Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, your messages must use templates approved and required by Viber. Gretor SMS allows you to send 2 types of transactional (information and notification) messages : a) transactional message without template and b) transactional message with template. More info here.
Request for deactivation of Viber sender must be sent at least 7 days in advance.
